Appeals

For admission to Year 7 in September 

Offers of places are made under the Coordinated Admissions Scheme on Monday 2 March 2026.  

The block appeals for entry into Year 7 (Primary to Secondary Transition) take place each year from April onwards. Please see below the details for block appeals for entry into Year 7 in September 2026:

  • The deadline for lodging an appeal with Bourne Grammar School is to be confirmed
  • The block appeals will be heard between from April 2026
  • Appeals submitted after the deadline (to be confirmed) will be treated as late appeals and held at a later date

For admission other than to the Sixth Form at other times

For a student that is refused a place and a parent wishes to Appeal, then they should complete the below form and return to Mrs Revell, Exams and Admissions Manager, in order to start the Appeal process. 

For admission to the Sixth Form

Appeals should be submitted to the Clerk to the Trustees at the School. Where the offer of a place would have been conditional upon exam results, the appeal will be heard within 30 school days of confirmation of those results. Where the offer of a place would not have been conditional upon exam results, the appeal will be heard within 40 days of the appeal being lodged.

All appeals are organised by Bourne Grammar School with the Legal Team at Lincolnshire County Council and are heard by an Independent Panel.  For further details of how to appeal for a School place please contact Lincolnshire County Council or please click here.
