Grantham Music Festival

On Sunday 12th October, twelve members of our Chamber Choir performed in the Grantham Music Festival Fundraising Concert at St John’s Church in Grantham.

The festival organisers are trying to widen participation from young people in the area, and we were delighted to have been invited.

The Chamber Choir performed two pieces, ‘Upon Kinde and True Love’ by Chris Williams and ‘The Lord Bless You and Keep You’ by John Rutter and were complimented on the quality and blend of their sound, which was especially noticeable in the live acoustic of the church. In addition to our Chamber Choir, BGS was also represented by Miguel Valdez performing Chopin’s ‘Revolutionary Etude’ on the piano, and Lucy Preston on violin and Alfred Kendon on viola performing as part of the Avvivando Trio. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their talents to the wider community
