Young Person’s Award Success, Aryan Nahata

Young Person’s Award Success, Aryan Nahata
For the last two years, I have been the Chair of the Peterborough Youth Council and have participated in many initiatives to campaign on issues that affect youth, such as junk food advertising, pressure, and stress.
I was nominated for the Young Person's Award to acknowledge my hard work, resilience and determination. "This award recognises an individual young person or group of young people aged 18 and under who have made a positive contribution to the local community and demonstrated exceptional community spirit and civic responsibility."
On the 19th February, I found out that the Constitution and Ethics Committee had selected me to receive said award on the 15th May. I feel extremely proud and would urge more people from our school to participate in such opportunities, as they help with self-growth and also allow you to give back to your local community.
