Examination Appeals
IMPORTANT: Grades can go up, down or remain unchanged as the result of an appeal.
Teacher Assessed Grade (TAG) appeals must be initiated by you, the student – parents/carers are not able to do this on your behalf.
A separate form is required for each individual subject that you would like to appeal. Appeals are to be directed to the Deputy Headteacher (Academic), Mr Martin Hewitt, by emailing the appeal form found at the bottom of this page to [email protected]. Appeals must be submitted within the window of dates below, which apply to all students in the country and are set externally by JCQ.
Priority Appeals Window
A Priority appeal is only for students applying to higher education who did not attain their firm choice (i.e. the offer they accepted as their first choice) and wish to appeal an A Level or other Level 3 qualification result

STAGE ONE APPEALS (Centre Reviews) – these are conducted by the School to check for administrative and/or procedural errors. If you are not satisfied with the result of the School’s review, then you may request an appeal to the examination board.
STAGE TWO APPEALS (Examination Board Review) – the School submits the appeal on your behalf to the board. You are required to provide evidence to support the reason for your appeal.
There is one form for both Stage One and Stage Two Appeals (found below); please only complete the relevant section that you require. Stage One Appeals must be submitted before you can submit a Stage Two Appeal.
