Many Bourne Grammar School students progress to Higher Education after leaving Sixth Form.
The Sixth Form team support students who are going on to a range of options, whether it be university, apprenticeship, employment or a gap year. Mrs Elliot, Head of Careers and Higher Education, is based in the Careers Office in the Turing Centre.

Applying to University
https://www.ucas.com/: This website is a comprehensive list of most Higher Education courses in the UK and students use this to apply to universities. It also has careers quizzes, industry sector information and now an excellent section on apprenticeships.
https://www.unitasterdays.com/ :Information on open days and also a library of videos about what it’s like to study different subjects at university.

Unifrog has a wealth of information on Post-18 options. You may find the following features particularly useful:
Subjects library: Investigate which subjects your A-level subjects may lead to and find out what it’s like to study that subject at university.
Careers library: Investigate which careers your A-level subjects may lead to and find out what the job involves and how to get into it.
UK university Search tool: Use this tool to find a listing of courses in a specified subject. You can rank and filter the list by, for example, distance from home.
Personal statement tool: Use this tool to help you structure your personal statement.
