GCSE Results

Following in the footsteps of previous cohorts, our Year 11 students have blazed a trail to excellence at our wonderful school! 53.5% of all grades were in the 7-9 band and a 97.8% pass rate overall represents a fantastic achievement by all concerned. 91.7% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in 5 or more subjects, another very pleasing statistic.

Akshaya Tirchunapalli obtained a full suite of grade 9s while Ellie Bannister, Jessica Burton, Emma Dennis, Olivia Dunicz, Hasini Vijayasankar and Lincoln Woolf achieved 8s or 9s in every subject. All should be very proud of their efforts and the extraordinary level of their achievement.

Miss Atkinson and Mr Sutherland are both very proud of the achievements across the whole year group and it has been great to see such a large number keen to return to BGS for A Level study. It looks as though Year 12 in September may be a bumper year, and we are delighted to see so many happy faces in school celebrating the end of the GCSE journey prior to launching straight into Sixth Form study.

To our students: well done. In life we tend to reap what we sow, and with your efforts and commitment demonstrated throughout your time here so far, you have reaped a rich harvest with your GCSE results. Use this now as a springboard to great things in the years to come!
