Lawson Capes Best Throw at International

Last week Lawson Capes, Year 10 competed at the at the Pickering Memorial International at Loughborough taking best shot performance of the day. Teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy and Portugal were present. Lawson had a great battle from Theo Hanlon from Ireland who threw 17.40m but Lawson pulled out a 17.70m and 17.44m to take the best throws of the day. England coach and father Lewis Capes said, “Great effort by our squad today as had some strong performances. Lawson was a little sore from last week’s international but came through to fight for the win.”
